Out of all human institutions, monarchy may be the one that best represents the politics of privilege and oppression: A very small endogamic group share total power through birthright, heritage and tradition, while the vast majority share total subjugation through the same means.
This month the unseen will take over the crown, the judged will write justice and the oppressed will raise their flags.
It its our time to reign.
But we will also revise our inborn and acquired privileges. This month we will bend over in front of the small, give up the throne to the tired and throw our heavy scepters to the river.
